Your Activity feed: every dollar in and out

Your Activity feed is one time-ordered record of every financial event across your whole Moneyta picture, dividends, realized gains, fund fees, and the expenses you log. Here's what it shows and exactly where each entry comes from.

  1. 1

    What the Activity feed is

One running journal of every money event across your portfolio, real estate, vehicles, and valuables, grouped by month, newest first. Instead of hunting through separate screens, you see income and expenses for everything you track in one place. Entries are only ever added, never edited or deleted, so it stays an accurate history (a correction is added as a separate adjustment).

  2. 2

    Automatic entries (tagged “Auto”)

Most of your Activity feed fills itself in. Moneyta posts these for you: dividends your holdings pay, gains and losses when you sell a position, company events like stock splits, and the fees your ETFs and funds quietly charge every year. They come from your portfolio data and Moneyta's daily market-data syncs, you don't enter them.

  3. 3

    Recurring entries (tagged “Recurring”)

Scheduled items Moneyta posts on a cadence, for example your monthly mortgage payment, derived from the mortgage you've added under Real Estate. Each is posted once per period, on its due date.

  4. 4

Your own entries (tagged “Entered by you”)

Expenses you log with the “Add expense” button: property costs (tax, insurance, maintenance, HOA, utilities, management), vehicle costs (loan, insurance, service), and valuable costs (insurance, appraisal, storage). Pick the asset type and category, enter the amount and date, and it joins the timeline.

  5. 5

    Reading the numbers

The three cards at the top summarize the period: Money in (income), Money out (expenses), and Net flow (the difference). The cash-flow bar shows the in-vs-out split at a glance. Income is green and positive; expenses are red and negative. Zero-amount adjustments (like a recorded stock split) don't change the in/out totals.

  6. 6

    Filter, export, and report

Filter by asset type (securities, real estate, vehicles, valuables, accounts) and by period (this year or all time). Export the current view to CSV for your records or your accountant, and open the Report for an annual income/expense summary grouped by category and by the IRS form each item maps to (1099-DIV, 1099-B, Schedule E, and more).

A note on privacy & scope: Your Activity feed shows events from your portfolio and the real-estate, vehicle, and valuable records you keep in Moneyta. Expenses you log against a valuable appear here, but the PIN-encrypted values of the items inside your Vault are never shown. And the Activity feed is a record of activity over time, your live, total net worth still lives on the dashboard.
